| Betty & John Wills use Gift Annuities to Fund Endowment |

The Wills are in their late 80's, and this gift annuity at SDSU is their fifth in four years. John says, "The various gift annuity contracts we have entered into are now generating a significant part of our income in retirement. These arrangements have enabled us to reduce our capital gains and income taxes, and it makes us comfortable to know that we have a source of solid, secure income for the rest of our lives."
Betty adds, "I like the serious education that SDSU provides, and I particularly enjoy being able to benefit specific programs of my choice with Gift Annuities." Establishing a gift annuity with SDSU is a simple process that does not involve any legal fees. A gift annuity contract is generated by our office and can be funded with a check or a stock transfer that SDSU can easy facilitate. Once the contract is signed, there is no further investing or decision making, except of course, how you would like to receive your payments, which can be made monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.
You also may want to make it easy and convenient to have a bequest included in your will. The language below shows how a bequest can very easily be included in your plans.
